It was poster week at my campus, and it was the last day for sales. I usually look-but-don’t-buy during poster week, but this year I bought two posters because I decided the posters I had in my bedroom needed replacing badly (which included a Twilight poster that served as an embarrassing reminder of my high school years, and 2 Final Fantasy X-2 posters, which I really love actually, but I have always been irked that I was missing the Yuna poster of the trio. Also, they have been hanging on my wall for the past 10+ years — I really needed a change).
My friend was like, “Posters? Kind of a waste of money.” Errr … that really depends. I just want to point out that my 4 wall bedroom has 2-and-a-half very blank walls, so I pretty much need posters (or paintings, or something) to put there so it doesn’t look so startling blank.
Oh yeaaah, Game of Thrones! This was the only Game of Thrones one I found, and luckily it is one of my favourite characters. I did see a magazine-sized poster of Ned, but I don’t really want a poster of Ned in my bedroom, as much as I love him. Plus it was too small. Even if there were more Game of Thrones posters available, I think I still would have picked Daenerys (above). I’ve seen these promotional posters before — I don’t want Ned, definitely don’t care for Robert, don’t want Cersei as she’s not a favourite character and I’m not sure if I would have wanted Jon Snow. I mean, I like the character, but having his character hanging in my bedroom is a different story. Long story short, I’m glad Daenerys was available, and now it hangs in place of Bella and the Cullen family.
The Audrey Hepburn poster is not new. It’s actually old — I bought it from Universal Studios a long time ago. I just moved it from its original spot above my bed to this big blank wall where my two Final Fantasy X-2 posters were (the space above my bed is now stark empty … not sure if I will leave it that way or get another poster in the future). The Dexter poster is my other brand new poster. I really like the TV show, but I didn’t really get the poster because I’m a fan of the show … more because I happen to have a big crush on Michael C. Hall. Aha. There were several Dexter posters available. I chose the least creepy one, heh.
My old Pirates of the Caribbean poster and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children poster are still in my room. No plans to rid of the FFVII: AC poster … but definitely plans to trash the Pirates of the Caribbean one. It’s old and I spilled water on it once (don’t ask).
And that is all for today! I should be doing a Pet Peeve post (I forgot for … the past 2-3 weeks. Bad, I know) but I might push it for tomorrow instead.
