story

Kameyama Fuuko's life is turned upside down by two gorgeous boys who move into her apartment complex, right above her own home. When she befriends them and finds out they go to the same school as herself, she initially develops a crush on Shinpo Daiya, the natural choice since Shinpo Ichi is so cold and not very nice to her (they got off to a rather bad start). However, when her friends pressure her to confess her feelings to Daiya, he rejects her and Fuuko is devastated. She becomes angry at not only herself, but at Daiya, and everyone who urged her to confess even though she wasn't ready, even though they told her it'll be alright.

She finds herself being comforted by Ichi, not knowing that Ichi secretly really likes Fuuko and has so for a long time now. As Ichi spends more and more time with Fuuko to cheer her up, Fuuko finds her heart healing, and herself craving for Ichi's company. Eventually, she realizes that she has fallen in love with Ichi. It is not the same crush feeling she had for Daiya -- she feels miserable when she can't even see Ichi. Oddly enough, Daiya at this time, is realizing his own feelings for Fuuko. Ever since he rejected her that day, she stopped hanging out with him as much and he felt a certain emptiness, especially when seeing how close Ichi and Fuuko have become.

Just when things seem to be progressing nicely for Fuuko and Ichi, an old flame from Ichi's past comes into the picture, and things are turned upside down again. Her name is Iori and she's come back to cling to Ichi while her busy boyfriend works. Ichi finds himself spending a lot of time with Iori because he would feel terrible if he left her alone, which causes Fuuko to become terribly depressed.

Seeing Fuuko and Ichi's relationship decline, Daiya takes this oppurtunity to ask Fuuko out, but she says she can't, because although things aren't going so well, her heart is still with Ichi. Daiya says he knows this, but wants her to give him a chance anyway, and Fuuko accepts, thinking that this could be a good way for her to start over. Ironically, Ichi is finally able to get rid of Iori, but finds himself too late to win Fuuko back.

As Fuuko and Daiya go out, Ichi and Fuuko slowly become friends again. Daiya knows that Fuuko is trying very hard to forget Ichi, but the problem is, how long can he wait? After all, in the end, she can only pick one of them, so who would it be?

I'm sure you know who I'm rooting for.
