Enemies
SinThe most obvious enemy the party has to deal with is Sin. What exactly is Sin? It's hard to describe him, sometimes he looks like a giant ball, sometimes he looks like a whale. Sin is a destructive creature, regardless ... and Sin is Tidus' father. The party must work hard to protect Yuna on her pilgrimmage as she stops by every temple to obtain a summon and eventually, defeat Sin herself. Though Sin is Yuna's fight, Tidus wants to battle the monster as well because he knows that it is father inside who is wreaking havoc in all of Spira (though to be fair, his father can't help it). Tidus wants to fight Sin for Yuna, and he also wants to fight Sin for himself. SeymourAnother enemy of the party is Seymour (the man in the picture above). He's one of the Maesters of Spira, and he appeared to be quite kind at first. He even lent the party a hand during battle. However, it soon turned out that he had a much darker plan in mind. His plan was to destroy all of Spira by merging together with Sin himself! Crazy, right? But he claims it's for the good of the people: by destroying all of Spira, everyone will die, and to him, death is the only way to release the people from their pain and suffering. Obviously, the party want to stop him because he is a definite threat to the life of Spira. He also kidnaps Yuna and forces her to marry him because he happened to fancy her. Also, I have an inkling that Seymour knew Tidus liked Yuna, although at the time, Tidus wasn't sure himself that he was in love with Yuna. Regardless, it was clear to anyone that he did not want Yuna being wedded to the likes of Seymour. Whether it was feelings of jealousy or just plain disgust, Tidus dislikes Seymour on a personal level as well. (Yu) YevonMore than anything, the entire religion of Yevon, including all the temples and priests, can be considered an enemy! They dubbed Yuna and her guardians as traitors for attacking Maester Seymour, even though it was Seymour who attacked them in the first place. Though Tidus never believed in the Yevon religion, he understood what a big deal it was for the party to be exiled from Yevon. This did not stop the party from continuing on with the pilgrimmage anyway, because although they no longer trusted the Yevon religion, they believed in their own reasons for the pilgrimmage. The journey may be more difficult, but that won't stop them! Also, Yu Yevon, the final boss from nowhere, is an enemy, haha. |
