Lulu

Lulu is a beautiful black mage who lives on Besaid Island with Yuna, Wakka and Kimahri. Lulu sees Yuna as her younger sister and is also very protective over her. Both Lulu's parents were killed by Sin when she was very young, so she doesn't have any memories of them. However, she lived happily with Yuna as her "sister", and Wakka and Chappu, who were like her "brothers". In fact, she was going to be wed to Chappu, if it weren't for Sin killing him as well. Lulu feels as if Sin is taking away all the people precious to her, so she was more than a little upset when Yuna announced she will follow in her father's footsteps and become a summoner. Sin was taking Yuna away from her as well. Then later, there was Tidus and his blossoming relationship with Yuna too ...

She comes off as a mysterious person who tends to keep to herself, which leads to one thinking she's anti-social. Lulu's a closed book to strangers, but she's very open to the people she loves and trusts.

Lulu and Tidus

Tidus is first warned about Lulu from Wakka. He tells her that the littlest things can make her angry, and that she always seemed to be in a foul mood. Tidus was careful not to cause any trouble -- however, it seemed that his existence was enough to tick her off. We can't completely blame Lulu though -- Tidus was not suppose to be in the Cloister of Trials in the first place!

Clearly feeling disliked by Lulu and Kimhari, Tidus decided it was safer to stick by Wakka.

Truthfully, Lulu didn't think Tidus was a very trustworthy person (he seems to have that effect on most people). She didn't know who he really was, where he came from and how he got here, and to make matters worse, Tidus didn't know how he got here either, and was even starting to doubt where he came from. Tidus does not really make it a priority to gain the trust of Lulu -- rather, he let time go by and eventually proved himself worthy of her trust naturally.

She thinks Tidus a complete idiot at first, and we can't really blame her -- the boy didn't even know what a summoner was, sheesh! No matter how hard Tidus tried not to get into her bad books, he does, and it took quite a while to remove his name from the list. But what Lulu was most afraid of was that Yuna and Tidus might fall in love. She could sense the attraction Tidus had for Yuna, and the fascination Yuna had for Tidus, and the last thing she wanted was for her dear younger "sister" to suffer heartbreak. Especially since there's no reward at the end of her hard journey except death.

However, after Tidus helped destroy Braska's Final Aeon, vanquished Yu Yevon once and for all, ended the "endless" cycle of life and death and saved all of Spira while sacrificing his own existance, Lulu couldn't help but see the boy in a different light. Who wouldn't?

romance

There is no real romance between Lulu and Tidus (and frankly, I think they would make a very odd couple). There are a few moments where as the player, you can direct Tidus to flirt with Lulu, which is always amusing.
