Outfit
When Tidus made the unwilling journey through Sin a thousand years into the future, he happened to be in the middle of a blitzball game and was wearing what we would all assume, his blitzball outfit. In the beginning FMV, it did not seem as if players had team uniforms -- rather they all seemed to wear whatever clothing best suits them (I can't imagine how difficult it must be to differentiate between team mate and opponent without uniforms but they seem to manage). His blitzball clothes consist of a short sleeved, yellow jacket that just reaches past his chest with a white hood that flaps behind him. Tidus didn't bother zipping up the jacket, and thus, reveals his muscley chest (heh). His left shoulder is protected with a blue shoulderpad that is a bit similar to the shoulderpads of a football player -- blitzball does involve tackling after all. His left arm is protected with an assortment of padding, rings and whatnot, while his right arm barely has anything on it, making it considerably lighter. I'm assuming this is because Tidus is a right handed person and uses his right hand for throwing the ball and his left arm for running into tackles. On both hands he wears black gloves, most likely for better grip of the blitzball. Hanging from his neck is a silver chain with a Zanarkand Abes symbol pendant -- his blitzball team's symbol. He wears black, overall-style pants with two straps from the shoulders that hook onto the pants. There is a chain hanging from his waist-line to one of his pockets but it does not seem to have any real purpose other than being a chain. One pant leg is shorter than the other (for stylish reasons, I guess. Some people hate it, some love it) and from the shorter pant leg, you can see he is wearing blue shorts underneath. On the longer pant leg, there is a large symbol of the Zanarkand Abes. The pants seem to be made of a material similar to what a rainjacket would be made of -- after all, he is playing underwater so the majority of his clothes must be waterproof. Tidus also decided to be cool and wear yellow runners -- yet it magically somehow looks good on him. When Tidus arrives in Spira, he does take small notice of the difference in clothing styles, but does not undergo any clothing changes himself. Oh Tidus, you rebel, you. |
