Official Intro: Tidus is a cheerful rising blitzball star playing for the Zanarkand Abes. He has long hated his father, who was a renowned player himself before his untimely death. Tidus' quick moves allow him to attack even the swiftest foes with ease.

Tidus is the protagonist of the story Final Fantasy X. He is a star Blitzball player on his city team and is pretty much a celebrity.

Tidus' story traces back to when his father somehow got himself into a world one thousand years into the future, when Tidus was very young, perhaps around ten years old. It wasn't really much of a loss to Tidus' because he never really liked his father in the first place, but his father's disappearance broke his mother's heart and she ended up dying. For this, Tidus hates him even more.

When Tidus was 17, his city came under the attack of a gigantic monster named Sin. Sin somehow swept Tidus a thousand years into the future, to the same place his father disappeared to, though Tidus did not know that fact yet. In the 'new world', Tidus finds himself tagging along with a group of guardians who were guarding a young and beautiful summoner named Yuna on a sacred pilgrimmage. As he travels with them, he questions the world they live in, the rituals and traditions they are accustomed to, and shakes all their beliefs. Tidus quite literally changes their world, but their world is not quite ready for such changes and various enemies show up to put a stop to Tidus exposing the truth. Along the way, Tidus discovers exactly what happened to his father and where he disappeared to -- the truth is always harsh.
