Tidus' voice actor is James Arnold Taylor. He got his start as a stand up comic, then moved on to become a disc jockey. He eventually got an agent and worked in voice-overs. Most of his roles have been cartoon chaarcters but "the advancement of the technology" has brought him into the video game field. He was offered the role of Tidus' voice actor while he was in the studio recording for a different movie.
"I guess he just felt that my voice was right for the part of Tidus and I didn't even have to audition. In fact, when I first came in, I had no idea that it was going to be for the lead character."
Mr. Taylor also voiced Tidus in Final Fantasy Dissidia. In Kingdom Hearts, young Tidus is voiced by Shaun Fleming.

He was the voice of Tidus in Final Fantasy Dissidia as well as Kingdom Hearts.
